Her musical training was intense and varied, with studies at the Bari Conservatory under G. Valente and further studies with masters like Edit Picht-Axenfeld, L. Mostacci, Oxana Yablonskaya, and Boris Bekhterev. She also studied Organ, Harpsichord, Composition, and piano pedagogy and didactics.
As a teacher, Luisa Grillo has received dozens of awards for her teaching and over 300 First Prizes won by her students in national and international piano competitions. Her teaching methodology is appreciated for its effectiveness, and she has held training courses for teachers in Italy and abroad.
Currently, she is artistic director and principal piano teacher at the J Du Pré' music school in Minerbio, where she manages the extensive training and outreach activities. Last year, she taught at the Nino Rota Conservatory in Monopoli and collaborated with musical institutions in Italy and abroad, including the Zagreb Conservatory Glasbena Skola Pavla Markovca.
As a pianist, she performs in Italian and foreign cities as a soloist and with orchestras, performing concerts and commented concerts. Her dedication to music is total, and her passion is contagious, inspiring new generations of musicians.
